Pench National Park opens twice daily to visitors. Local guides accompany game drives and are provided upon at the park entrance. Jeeps are free to follow their own route along tracks, using pugmarks and alarm calls as indicators of a nearby predator.
Favorable Months for visiting the park are from November to June.
The best period for sightings is between Feb and April.
The Park visit timings depends on the time of the sunrise and sunset. The Park opens for visit, half an hour after sunrise and closes half an hour before sunset. For most part of the year it would be safe to say that the timings are as follows:
Summer (April- June): 0630 hr-1030 hr & 1530 hr-1830 hr
Winter (October-March): 0700 hr-1100 hr & 1500 hr-1800 hr 
The India Eco-development project was started in Pench Tiger Reserve in 1996-97 with the aid of the World Bank. Under this project 99 villages around the Tiger Reserve have been identified in order to develop its own resources so that their dependency on the project area is mitigated. In return they co operate and participate in the protection of the tiger.
As an endangered species, it is a privileged time to view the tiger in its natural habitat, and the wildlife to which it is inextricably linked. That in fact is applicable to all wildlife, and when viewing, always display great sensitivity to your surroundings:
Stay very still and quiet;Wear natural colored clothing;
Don't allow your driver to get too close to animals;
Stay inside your vehicle until you are at designated areas;
Show displeasure if your mahout disturbs a tiger for a satisfying view;
Avoid having high expectations or becoming disappointed with any sighting.
